Funeral crossing the boundaries of denominations

This news article, about the funeral of slain Youth with a Mission missionary, Tiffany Johnson, relates that the service took place in the Catholic Church in Tiffany's hometown, conducted by an Assemblies of God Minister, and her home church in another city is the Cedar Valley Church.

Praise God when groups can cooperate in the face of tragedy.

  1. and another...AMEN!

I recently presided at a funeral of a very prominent member of the community. He was a member at Salem Lutheran and his wife is Catholic. The funeral was held here but the lunch afterward was at the Catholic church (Salem was too small to seat everyone). Some of the Salem ladies were working along side the Catholic ladies in the Catholic kitchen. Now that is what I call ecumenism.
