I like this quote as well, but the problem is that when one travels, one eventually returns home to where everything is comfortable. Prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness may take a hit, but they have a way of growing back.
Pastor Eric is right, yet we can keep our thoughts more humble by trying to have reminders. A man I know keeps paper money from one of the world's poorest countries in his wallet and he see them every time he spends any money...as a reminder...and he now gives a significant portion of his income to certain charities that he knows, because he has personally checked them out, actually do what they say that they do.
Now that's a good saying.
