Mark Twain Quote

It was the American Mark Twain who reminded us all that "travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness."

  1. Now that's a good saying.

  2. I like this quote as well, but the problem is that when one travels, one eventually returns home to where everything is comfortable. Prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness may take a hit, but they have a way of growing back.

  3. Pastor Eric is right, yet we can keep our thoughts more humble by trying to have reminders. A man I know keeps paper money from one of the world's poorest countries in his wallet and he see them every time he spends any money...as a reminder...and he now gives a significant portion of his income to certain charities that he knows, because he has personally checked them out, actually do what they say that they do.

And what do you think?
